As we all know, current blockchain technologies, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, have a lot of good features such as decentralization and security. However, compared to the centralized systems such as BigTable and Cassandra, the throughputs of Bitcoin and Ethereum are extremely low, which greatly limits their wider applications.

In this event, we will briefly review existing solutions that try to address the problem and their limitations. Then, I will go through an overview of existing scalability solutions in centralized world. At last, I will give a short introduction on our proposed solution - QuarkChain, and how it is able to deliver a great number of on-chain TPS while maintaining decentralization and security.
